Alright. Question K. Break out the embarrassing work!
… I honestly killed most of my embarrassing work in a fire (actually died with my old laptop), but I can certainly share some details!
Let’s see… my worst fan-based work (besides the Sonic fics that I wrote when I was, like, eight) has to be my old Sailor Moon fics. I was in middle to early high school at the time, and writing absolutely had to be all dark and brooding because that’s what other fanfiction authors did! So first, I conveniently brought back one of my favorite villains, Jadeite (extremely common fanfiction plot point because he was put into eternal sleep and never died). Next, I conveniently killed the entire main cast of the series to get out of the way of my omgJadeitexThetisfeels. And speaking of Thetis, I brought back every Monster of the Day design I liked and assigned them as Jadeite’s harem *cough* army. (Well, it certainly looked like a harem, them all being girls and all! D:)
So not-as-evil-as-before Jadeite and his monstergirls, including zombie!Sailor Soldiers because killing them off wasn’t dark enough, fight against still-evil Zoisite for no real reason because neither of them is threatening Earth anymore. But most of what I wrote was Jadeite brooding and an awkward love triangle between him, zombie!Mars and Thetis. Then I eventually got smart and moved on to other things. xD;
As for original work… I did get a lot better at writing in general before I really focused on original work, but there was that one story I was developing (also in high school) about a couple of kids who adventure through video game worlds for no clearly defined reason. I never got very far, but I hate that it ever existed. ^_^;
P: What are your goals for things to happen to your writing? (Getting published, getting a good review, having a fandom, etc)
I’ve actually thought a lot about this. Ultimately, I want to develop a studio, publish most of my work through it, and help others get started in the field as well. Because it can be an absolute bitch breaking into any sort of creative field with any level of success. Especially if you want to maintain the rights to your own work. >_>
Of course, I’ll probably have to get my name out there first. Which means I’d need to get published and have at least some people like my stuff. So I have some ideas I’m a little less strict on maintaining full ownership of in the meantime, but it’s likely to be a while before any of those see the light of day. ^_^;
C: Who is your favorite character of your own? Who is your favorite character created by somebody else? Why?
I knew someone would ask this! D:
I have such a hard time picking a favorite character of my own. Because I have dozens, and I love them all. If asked, I’d probably say character!Phee, but since she’s more of an internet persona than an actual story character, I don’t think she counts.
So right at this moment, my “favorite” is Rachel Taylor. She’s the one I’ve been working on, and I’ve found a lot of aspects of my own life to use for inspiration lately. Amateur designer, has wildly different social lives online and offline, et cetera. Ask me in a few months and I might have a different answer, but that’s it for now.
My favorite character created by somebody else is another tough one. But for the sake of giving an answer, I’ll say Bayonetta. That woman needed to exist for so many reasons. She definitely made persona!Phee what she is today. xD; By which I mean a total slut…
… Er, ahem. Those are my answers, I guess. [/wall of text] ^_^;
it’s a friday night. all the other girls are out in miniskirts at nightclubs. im at home in my pajamas, hair tied back, no makeup on, drawing a pentagram on my floor and lighting candles to summon satan because i have always been unique thats just who i am.
So that’s what you girls do with your time…
Public Service Announcement: (Popular girls only.) Invite your unpopular friends, acquaintances, or objects of pity out sometimes. You never know. The girl you drag along with you for a makeover and night of clubbing could be the one who would have succeeded in summoning Satan. Think of your friends, family, and closet. Why should you have to suffer?
